Fun Monday

RDH mom is hosting this weeks Fun Monday, this is what she says...

Here is your assignment:
Vacations...this is the time of year when most of us go on vacations. Show us and/or tell us about your favorite vacation - where you went, what you did, etc. Pictures would be great. Let's all take a trip around a the world via our FM friends!!

We have been a couple of places for vacation. We usually (for the 4th of July) go to my grandmothers house in South Carolina. I couldn't find any pictures from there.

This is when we went to Nauvoo, Illinois

This is the family standing in front of a statue of Joseph and Hyrum Smith. This is us in front of a replica of the Nauvoo temple

This is Molly making a candle

This is Ella making a rope

This is a really big castle-like house that we really liked.

That was Nauvoo, this is when we went to Atlanta, Georgia.

This was actually on an Indian mound on our way back from Atlanta. This is on top of them.

This was climbing up to the top of the mounds.

This was the view from one of the mounds to another.

This was at the Atlanta museum, we were dressing up.

This was a fossil of a dinosaur

This is in the Atlanta aquarium.

We have also gone to Illinois, to visit our cousins, Disney World, and New York City.

Those bubble views are intriguing. Do they let adults do that, too?

How many seats are in your car..hmm.. I'd like to do some of this 9:

Great pictures! Looks like loads of fun! But I am more impressed by the photo on your profile page! So which one are you? Am I counting 9 kids there? And I thought I had a full house! WOW

This really looks like a bunch of fun times had by all! A great trip, and I'm sure great memories. Love all the photos.

This is really a fun Fun Monday this week, seeing all the stories of all the great vacations!!

Are Navoo an indian tribe? We have mounds here too - those stairs help protect them from falling apart from too much traffic.

I want to take Z to the Georgia Aquarium this summer... It's a relatively easy drive and he loves stuff like that!

My parents served a mission in Nauvoo in 89. They loved it. They were in the Cooledge house (candle making) and then for 6 months my Dad drove the wagon to give rides to guests and my Mom worked in the bakery. They also said it was one of the best times of their life. I'd love to visit Atlanta. Have a nice week.

I have not visited either Nauvoo, Illinois nor the mounds in Atlanta. Thank you for showing us your pictures to these places. It looks like your family had a good time.

You're the second Fun Monday participant to mention Nauvoo, Illinois. My mom is from Illinois and I'm going to have to ask her if she's ever been there.

I live in Atlanta. The Georgia Aquarium is awesome! And I'm glad y'all got to visit Fernbank. We used to go to Fernbank every year for school field trips - it's even cooler now than when I was growing up! Did you happen to watch one of the IMAX movies while you were there?
